Impact Grant Award from the Palo Alto Community Fund

EPACenter has been selected as a Palo Alto Community Fund (PACF) 2021 Dave Mitchell Impact Grantee.

Launched in 2020 in memory of longtime community supporter and philanthropist, Dave Mitchell, PACF’s Impact Grants focus on solutions to challenges in the community and provide general operating support for organizations that address these challenges in a way that furthers both immediate and systems-level change.

This year, PACF identified COVID-19 Vaccine Equity, Extremely Affordable Housing, and Youth Mental Health as its three focus areas. EPACENTER was awarded a grant which will be utilized to increase our mental health programming for youth in East Palo Alto. Our ongoing wellness programs support youth throughout their engagement with EPACENTER to help them develop the socio-emotional skills that are needed to thrive. This includes art, music and dance therapy led by licensed clinicians, community building projects among youth in the city, and the integration of socio-emotional learning and social-emotional asset development into our project-based, arts education programs and workforce development programs.

We are deeply grateful to the Palo Alto Community Fund for supporting this important work and the youth of East Palo Alto!
